Griffin Pocket Tools

I am going to review both the original Griffin Pocket Tool as well as the Griffin Mini on this post. I purchased the starter pack as a black Friday Purchase with the intent of giving the Griffin XL as a gift so I am unable to review it currently. That being said if I end up getting a replacement at some point like I hope I will update this post. I am going to give you the specifications for the individual tools and then I will do a joint breakdown as the tools are very similar with the exception of size.

Opinion:

Pros:

The Griffin is a great little single piece multi-tool to carry. It features several tools for you to use in your daily life. I have found that the wrenches and pry bar are the most common tools that I have found useful, even so I have that I tend to not use very often. I do definitely like the construction of these tools, the ones I have are stainless steel construction which feels really solid. Griffin Pocket Tool does offer several other materials that I would like to try but the standard and original is this steel version. I also like the overall design of the tools as they can easily slip into a pocket or pouch or plenty of other options. I like to carry them in my fifth pocket just because they really seem to fit perfectly there.

Cons:

My biggest complaint is the sharp edges on the Griffin Pocket Tool. The edges are rather sharp and hard so that it somewhat digs into your hand. In addition, I have found that the bottle cap opener/ 1/4" hex driver digs into my hand even more.

Conclusion:

I like the Griffin Pocket Tool and have enjoyed carrying it, unfortunately, I just don't really find myself using it. Luckily, it doesn't take a significant amount of space or weight but it isn't getting the proper love.
